The Tennessee State Numismatic Society Coin and Currency Convention was very active with retail customers, most of which were interested in older collectible coins and bullion. A lot of customers came to our table with lists of the coins needed to complete their sets. We had most of the coins they needed in our stock books.
Other attendees were interested in gold and silver bullion, taking advantage of the drop in silver and gold. We sold quite a bit of silver bars from 1-10 oz’s along with 1 oz gold eagles.
We were able to buy quite a few interesting items at this show. We bought some high denomination notes ( $500 and $1000’s ), old $20 gold pieces, a high grade 1916 D mercury dime (which is vary rare in high grade), and a lot of neat currency.
If you are interested in any of the items mentioned in this post or if you have any questions about purchasing coins, currency or bullion, please feel free to contact us. We will be updating our show page soon, but up next we will be traveling to Baltimore. If you are in the area, please visit our table. We are always interested in buying and selling rare coins and collectibles.
